Doesn't take a rocket scientist

"Just because you're smart doesn't mean you know everything!"
The two sons of Watson and Crick, the scientists who discovered DNA, try to out-discover their fathers but just don't seem to have what it takes.
Chicago's Lakeshore Theater presents the two-man comedy show "The Idiots," starring and written by Craig Anton and Ron Lynch. Intended for adult audiences, the hour-long production is a "tip of the hat to silent film partners' comedies," Anton says.
"The two sons shared their childhood and continue to engage in childish behavior," he goes on to say, "constantly interrupting and distracting each other in their efforts to find grant money to continue their 'research.'"
Their silliness involves physical comedy, props, and eventually leads to gun play. There are a lot of surprises, Anton says, including stage crew antics during scene changes and opera singer Rosalind Urwitz.
Anton and Lynch are regulars in "Adult Swim" and have performed in "Tom Goes to the Mayor" episodes on the Cartoon Network.
Anton was one of the original cast members on the late-night sketch comedy series "MADTV" and has appeared on NBC's "The Office," the Emmy Award-winning mockumentary about a group of office workers at a paper-supply company. He played the role of Lloyd Diffy in the Disney Channel series "Phil of the Future."
Lynch has performed on the Cartoon Network's "Home Movies" and on Comedy Central's Sara Silverman program.
Lakeshore Theater is located at 3175 N. Broadway, Chicago. Ticket price is $15. Tickets are available at (773) 472-3492 or online by clicking here.
