Brent Weinbach has gained a particularly favorable reputation in both the underground and mainstream San Francisco scenes. Through an unconventional and quirky style, Brent combines absurdism, physical humor, and cultural characterizations with an innocent and intellectual sophistication. As the Weinbach cult-following continues to develop, fans all over the Bay Area and beyond can be seen wearing the increasingly fashionable “Weinbach” t-shirt. Brent has made appearances at the HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, taken part in the Comedians of Comedy tours and he even did his act on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson only to have his segment cut by a CBS executive before airtime for being “too weird and deadpan” despite a favorable studio audience response (Shades of Bill Hicks on Letterman?).
