Student Films Across America is a student-run, student-only traveling film festival. Over the course of the summer, the festival will be taking a tour bus to 50 cities throughout the US and Canada, showing the best student film submitted from around the world. Each show will consist of the prizewinners for best drama, best comedy, and best documentary, from which the audiences at each stop will be able to vote for a $10,000 Audience Choice winner. Additionally, each stop will have a film made by a local student – the Chicago filmmaker Sean Jourdan, a Columbia College student, with his film "An Open Door".
