Annie Lesser is a senior at Northside College Prep High School in
Chicago, Illinois. She was given the opportunity by her school to write
a thesis on the history and contemporary significance of sketch comedy
during her senior year. In conjunction with this thesis she has
organized this series of panels on aspects of sketch comedy's
presentation and evolution. She says that she did this in order to place
sketch comedy at the same level as tragedy in the dramatic cannon.
