Eli Jones is an eight-piece pop/soul band from Chicago bringing funk to your soul, channeling Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder. Since forming in 2005, Eli Jones has played some of Chicago’s best clubs and toured the Midwest. The band recently released their first studio record, Make It Right, to a sellout crowd at The Hideout, one of Chicago's premier venues. Stefanie Berecz’s stunning vocal talent imbues the ten-track
record with pure soul power. Gritty, horn-drenched R&B, four-on-the-floor funk, heart-wrenching soul ballads: it’s all there. The songs themselves relate stories of heartache and complicated relationships. In the end, however, you can’t help but feel that Berecz and Co. are trying to mend their broken hearts and make it right.
