Join some of Chicago's premiere comedy performers as they present a politcal comedy festival in the spirit of the Laff-Riot® 1968 Democratic Convention. Be prepared for a variety of acts standing on a soapbox, cleverly disguising polemic in the form of jokes. Whether you are democrat or republican, liberal or conservative - we can all agree on one thing: This Country's F$cked.
The show will be hosted by two of Chicago's favorite independent comedic ensembles, Schadenfreude and GayCo. Together, they will present a night of stand-up, sketch comedy, music and magic that will remind you that there is still room to laugh through all of your tears.
In addition to the comic work of both Gayco. and Schadenfreude, the festival will feature the works of many other performers including Bassprov, Susan Messing, Ken Barnard, Mike and Duane, Blue Ribbon Glee Club, Mark Bazer, Jet & Holly, Matthew Hollis and the Power of Cheer, Claudia Wallace and Yuri Lane, as well as various special guests.
